Successful Rainbow Market day
The market on Sunday was a hit with a few hundred people attending.
The Oasis on Bow Street was alive with people in the early hours with a heavy flow of keen buyers. The market slowed down later in the day yet customers still continued to drift in, as the sun would shine and occasionally peek behind the clouds. It was a terrific turnout. All of the 30 marketers reported to have had a sizable amount of sales, with many selling over half of their stock and Mary Gratez homemade baking sold out.
There were many happy customers enjoying the market opportunity, and children were running around with wind spinners.
The big market raffle raised over $800. Jillian and Roger Eckerman won a hamper that consisted of a donation from each seller’s stall.
A few unfamiliar faces were also seen. There were marketeers from Horsham, Nhil, Donald, and even as far as Bordertown.
There was a lot of enthusiasm for there to be another market, planned to be held in six months.
It was the first market in Rainbow since 2018.
